League Basketball
General Information
A ministry of Christ Covenant Church,
SOAR Sports Basketball is designed for boys and girls ages 6-18. SOAR
emphasizes skill and Christian character development in a fun,
encouraging environment while requiring good sportsmanship of all
participants. Added emphasis is given to active and equal participation
of all participants.

Practices
Players will practice
1 day per week for 1 hour to 1-1/2 hours (depending on the age
division). Typically the practice sessions start after 5:15/5:30. Practices
will continue throughout the season (even after games begin). Practices
are held at either Christ Covenant Church or Matthews Methodist in the Matthews area.
Games
Players will play
between 8-10 games throughout the season. Games are typically scheduled
on Friday night or Saturday - with a few weekday games scheduled
throughout the season. Games
will
be played at
either Christ Covenant
Church or Matthews Methodist in the Matthews Area.

Sports requires that fees be paid at time of registration.
Scholarships are available for families experiencing
financial hardship or to those who serve in the mission
field and are supported financially by faith promises.
