About Volunteering

Coaching

• Must be at least 18 years old, unless otherwise approved by the SOAR Director
  

• Commit to one practice, one game on the weekends, and an end of season team party
  

• Read through qualifications of being a coach found here
  

Referee & Umpire

• Starting at age 12, we have youth, teens, college students and adults helping us each season with soccer, flag football, volleyball, and other sports
  

• Can be paid or receive volunteer community service hours for school or club organization
  

• Mandatory training at the beginning of each season
  

Mercy Ministry

Parent Volunteer Teams

• Team Parent - Organize snack schedule, team party, or other outside events for team during season
  

• Concessions
  

• Organize volunteer teams to help with concessions for fall season
  

• Can be low commitment
  

Game-Day Preparation

• Pre-season laying out fields
  

• In-season, lining fields, organizing equipment, and equipment distribution
  

Administration

• Pre-Season prep in and around the office such as uniform organization, sports equipment prep, and other tasks
